More Barris news! None other than Deke Dickerson has just recorded the "Barris Theme" song as a tribute to George Barris' contribution to American car kulture and being an endorsee for our line of guitars! This song really wraps up the whole ball of wax in regards to Hot Rods, TV show and Movie Cars all the way from the beginning through Georges work today! This guy is an American Icon and Deke delivers the goods on this tune in both A side traditional version and B side fun Ramones style version!
The Barris Theme songs will be available as a special single format, and will be also featured on the new CD coming soon! The cd will also feature Larry Collins as a solo artist, The Collins Kids, The Dynotones, The Ghastly Ones, The Neanderthals, The Untamed Youth and The Kilauea's!
Speaking of Deke, The Collins Kids, and The Dynotones, Hallmark Guitars organized these artists as the entertainment for the Barris Cruisin Back to the 50's event on May 9th at Culver City, CA!
George claims it was the best turnout ever and the stage was rushed and jammed which had never happened before at this event. Quote from George: "This was AMAZING! I have never seen anything like this at a car event in my life!" Deke said: " Man this was a cool event! It was like getting in a time machine and going back to the old days and playing Rock and Roll and Rockabilly music in the center of town with George Barris's cars everywhere! What a gas!"
The Collins Kids ripped the place up with a set that shows they can still rock harder than ever! Also we had special guest and new Hallmark Guitars artist John SPAZZ Hatton on bass guitar for the set! John is the bass player for the Brian Setzer Orchestra and is currently out on the road so check em out when they come to town! Hallmark also donated a one of a kind guitar, a reverse red Swept-Wing with special pin striping for a charity auction. clip of the Collins Kids and Deke Dickerson playing their new Hallmark Guitars!

on Hallmark Guitars!
Say hello to John SPAZZ Hatton! John (pictured on the right) plays with the "Brian Setzer Orchestra" and used a Vintage Series Swept-Wing bass on the new Setzer LP! John called me on the Hallmark hotline and informed us that he and the producer thought the playability and tone were a perfect match for the sound they were after and had no problems in a studio environment with the super performance of this guitar. Thanks SPAZZ!
We reprised the Fleetwood Country Cruise-In event at the fabulous Plunkett Estate in London Ontario featuring the grand opening of the Auto Salon with the largest collection of vintage Cadillacs in the world. Stars from American Graffitti were on hand as well as the Custom Crazy Car builder Gene Winfield! Google him to see some outrageous hand built cars. George Barris was there signing autographs and the Barris Built Kopper Kart was there too! Hallmark Guitars donated another one of a kind guitar to be auctioned off for charity that commanded $5,500.00! Click here to see the auction! Following the auction was a rousing set by award winning artist, Tommy James and the Shondells.
